🧠 Heads-Up Installer is no longer digitally signed (SmartScreen warning). Independent developers are being ignored and financially squeezed on the Microsoft platform, see more. Also Windows Defender might identify Installer and Executor as a threat.

• Unfortunately installer is no longer digitally signed like the previous release. This means Windows will show warnings like “Unknown Publisher” and/or trigger SmartScreen alerts during installation. Why? The previous code signing certificate expired — and due to a 2023 industry rule change, $650 prepaid Executor certificates became useless. Renewing under the new system would cost hundreds more annually, which is hard to justify for free software. If you'd like to help cover the cost of signing and improve the installation experience for others, consider donating. Otherwise, rest assured: the software is safe, built to help — not harm.
  Honestly, when using the Apple Developer Program account at hand, it costs only a third for signing compared to the Microsoft platform, or better yet Google Developer account (no cost!). But here we are. Thanks for understanding, and for supporting independent software.

Quick Tip: The installer will offer two versions, "Standard" and "High DPI". If your display scaling in Windows Settings > Display is set above 100% on the monitor you'll use for Executor, choose the High DPI option (Win10 scale setting, Win11 scale setting, More info).

Scaling above 100% is usually for high-resolution displays and "zoomed" laptops. In the High DPI version elements will remain sharp at all scale levels, where in the standard version if scaling is above "100%", Windows will do the scaling, which can result in blurriness and small visual glitches. There are some skins though that are not fully supported in the High DPI version.

Question: Can I run the High DPI version even though I don't use display scaling at more then 100%?
Answer: Yep no problem.
